your leash will be shipped to you in TRY ME mode - which is meant for consumers to be able to see the lights at retail, the unit is programmed to automatically shut itself off while in TRY ME mode.

to put your unit into REGULAR mode: remove small plug on side of bone and discard. Slide switch to opposite direction - this will now activate regular mode and allow you to advance through 5 different blinking sequences - i.e. individual blinking, group blinking slow, fast etc, by pressing the button on the front of the bone unit

by advancing through all 5 light sequences the next press will shut lights "OFF" ( i.e. - you must cycle through all 5 light sequences to turn lights off.
